Sarcophagus: Dust of Nations (Play-Test)

A playtesting demo of SDoN.

Build and manage a growing warband to face off with opponents over a streamlined campaign track as you struggle for dominance amongst the ruins in the dawn of a world. An action-movie and prog-rock inspired hellscape vision of an earth long-locked inside an arcane alien construct, the Sarcophagus.

Inspired by Mordheim, Jagged Alliance, 7,62 Hard Life and several hazy nights listening to Dream Theater and Coheed.

Features:

-In-depth progression similar to some TTRPGS with 100 traits to acquire,  20 special abilities to learn, and statistical and equipment improvements to gain. Each faction has a wholly unique armory to kit out your own brand of killing machine.

-21 scenarios and a campaign track to help craft narratives surrounding the trials and tribulations of your outfit, along with a dominance tracker that changes the momentum of the overarching war.  Campaigns build up to climactic "Finale" scenarios with everything on the line.

-Downtime activities and global events between battles, where manpower and opportunity costs must be weighed as you determine whether to macro at home,  scout ahead, tend to your wounded, trade, or even strike out and raid your foes.

-Simple but comprehensive body and cover destruction mechanics, limbs can be shorn off and defensive positions can be destroyed.

-AI-driven neutral foes that can appear to throw a wrench in the works, from gangs of scavengers and bandits to mecha-molemen and nightmare-beasts. Sometimes even forcing erstwhile enemies to band together to survive their wrath.

-2 of 5 planned factions included with the third almost completed, each with unique units, wargear, downtime activities, and mechanics.

-An optional cheevo system for powerleveling and modifying your crew during shorter campaigns, called "Accolades". Built to commemorate the individual triumphs of your hapless charges with titles and upgrades.
